Book Talk: Sally Fronson

SATURDAY. OCTOBER 5TH AT 1:00 PM EST

Join us for a book talk with author Sally Fronson for her book Big in Sweden, a coming of age novel.

About the Book:

Paulie Johansson, content with her boyfriend Declan and best friend Jemma, dismisses the idea of family until a drunken audition video lands her on a Swedish TV show, Sverige och Mig. Despite Declan’s advice, she goes to Sweden for a chance to connect with her roots. Armed with her Polaroid camera, a beat-up copy of Pippi Longstocking, and an unquenchable sense of possibility, Paulie hops on a plane to Sweden and launches into the contest with seven other Americans, Amid bizarre challenges Paulie reconsiders her views on family and friendships, while also grappling with her growing attachment to Sweden and feelings for a charming Swedish cameraman. Big in Sweden is a heartwarming fish-out-of-water tale about love—for family, friends, country, and self-discovery.

Sally will have books on hand for purchase. If you would like to purchase a book in advance, click here.
