About CCL

The SLC is committed to the concept of community-centered living which regards elders as integral members of the community. We encourage everyone to continue making connections with people of all ages, both within our residential community and beyond. In doing so, they continue sharing their unique gifts with the world. Community-centered living breaks down the walls of separation that threaten to isolate our residents from their neighbors and friends.

We take a proactive approach in creating many different opportunities for people to come together through shared interests, choice or lifestyle. More than 40 nonprofit organizations utilize the SLC’s common spaces for regular meetings and events. Over 2,000 visitors connect here each month. Our on-site Cultural Center also hosts events and performances open to the public. Community-centered living at the SLC allows residents to remain active members of their community in authentic and meaningful ways.

We Serve the Greater Boston area including Allston, Brighton, Brookline, Cambridge, Chestnut Hill, Newton, Waltham, Wellesley, Watertown, and other area towns.
